Investigations

We have several exciting projects that are in various stages of investigation.

Industry needs

All projects to be carried out under the auspices of Byggstand must be based on and initiated from specific and relevant industry needs. Byggstand has developed its own process for identifying and managing such projects.

Which of these projects will be implemented will be decided during August/September, with the goal of prioritization and initiation.

Conversion Factors

Conversion factors repeatedly emerge as a key issue when discussing machine-readable EPD data and have become even more relevant now as BEAst supply and invoicing are adopted for activities such as sustainability reporting at the corporate/group level for contractors, as well as greenhouse gas reporting at the project level.

To ensure consistent and accurate use of conversion factors, it is essential to establish a "one source of truth." All actors who use the conversion factors must adhere to the descriptions and rules developed and agreed upon within this project and thus within the construction industry.

Part information

Standardization of the use of part information in digital information flow - EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) messages is very important for several reasons:

Simplification of communication, efficiency and cost savings, consistency and quality, interoperability, compliance with regulations, etc..

Ensure efficient construction site logistics with BEAst Supply

Contractors communicate order data to their suppliers through custom-developed order forms in Excel and other form systems. These processes need to be digitalized and coordinated.

Widespread implementation of digital collaboration in the construction industry

By standardizing on BEAst Supply 4.0 and Peppol as the integration platform, the industry will be able to set higher requirements for message content and eliminate many of the customizations built into individual one-to-one connections.

The purpose of a sector-wide implementation project for EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is to accelerate the construction industry's digital transformation and ensure accurate digital collaboration and information flow.

Climate and environmental data in the early phase of construction projects through digitalized tender processes

The multiple suppliers create BIM objects themselves for their products. They want all customers needing BIM objects of these products to use these existing BIM objects. Generally, the current BIM objects (the ones buyers prefer to use) contain too little information in the form of property values to add sufficient value to the suppliers' business and production processes.

The purpose of the project is to develop and test a digital tender process between the buyer and seller that enables the order itself to be automated once an agreement on an offer is established.

Efficient logistics in the paint industry

Labeling up to the wholesaler and building materials trade is a challenge for the logistics processes involved. The issues are rooted in inadequate labeling and definitions of packaging units, as well as other basic data from the producers. The purpose of the project is to establish an efficient logistics system among producers, wholesalers, and the building materials trade with digital process support.
